Test MAG 135 basic:
The MAG basic test is intended to determine the level of welders for standard welding work.
This test consists of welding 3mm plate in various positions such as PA, PB, and PG, and welding 10mm plate with 1 layer and with 3 layers (multi-layer).
It is also checked whether the welder can independently set up the welding machine for these various welding tests. Furthermore, it is important to maintain the correct torch positions and welding speeds.
Example:
A fillet weld for 10mm plate must have an a height between a=4 and a=5mm and be welded without spatter.
Example fillet weld 10mm PB
The following tests are performed:
- . 3mm plate fillet weld PB
- . 3mm plate lap joint PB
- . 3mm plate outside corner weld PA
- . 3mm plate fillet weld PG
- . 10mm plate fillet weld PB
- . 10mm plate fillet weld PB - 3 layers
- . 10mm plate fillet weld PG
A test report is prepared at the end:
